DIRTY ROCKER: A Rock Star Romance Read online

I glanced around as I exited the Merc and my heartrate skittered. Metal barriers had been erected to block the sidewalk at either side of the hotel, where hundreds of screaming fans jostled each other. Some held up posters saying shit like ‘I wanna fuck you, Pierce.’ Joe and Mike closed ranks. Stoic grins plastered on their faces, the rock gods strode over to the barriers to pose for selfies and sign whatever was offered to them, including several pairs of tits. It was all an act, I knew it was, but I had to clench my teeth to suppress a grimace of jealousy. The paparazzi were there too, of course, but I hadn’t expected them to notice me. “Give us a pic with Pierce, Hayley,” a burly dude called out, and my heart sank. The rest of the posse joined in, calling for a picture. My muscles tensed and I spun on my heel and ran toward the hotel entrance.
In the lobby, strong arms grabbed me. Pierce’s. “I’ve got you, babe.” He held me close.
I gulped in a breath. “I wasn’t ready for that…”
“I should’ve warned you this would happen after that press release went out.”
Jake sauntered up and patted my arm. “Journos have requested an interview with you both tomorrow morning. Is that okay?”
At least he’d asked. “Yeah. Sure.” There was nothing else I could say. I’d allowed myself to be persuaded into posing as a rock star’s girlfriend. I couldn’t get out of it, I’d given my word, and, to be honest, I didn’t want to. I’d see this through to its conclusion, whatever that might be…
We checked in and took our digital key cards. Pierce looped his arm around me, and we made our way to the elevators. Axel and Phoenix approached and asked if we’d like to hang out with them later. My ‘boyfriend’ said he was knackered, which I guessed meant he was exhausted. I was missing being with him on our own, so I said I was tired too.
After I’d waved to Camila, who was heading off with the instrument technicians in the direction of a separate part of the hotel, Pierce, Axel, Phoenix and I rode up to the top floor, which Jake had booked in its entirety for ChiMera, Vanilla Sky and our security detail.
We left Axel and Phoenix at the door to their suite and headed down the corridor to the room Jake had assigned to us. Pierce slipped our key card into its reader and the door clicked open.
“Wow, it’s gorgeous,” I gushed, staring at the opulent furnishings and wall to ceiling windows.
“There’s a jacuzzi in the bathroom.” His smile was almost boyish. “Wanna join me for a soak?”
I pressed my lips together, remembering his dirty words on the plane. Throughout the flight, while I was pretending to be reading my e-book, I’d been arguing with myself. It wasn’t fair on Pierce. My clit ached for his fingers, his tongue, his mouth, but what about him? I couldn’t even touch him, let alone give him oral.
The arrival of our luggage interrupted my thoughts. Pierce tipped the bellhop while I undressed in the massive bathroom. I turned on the faucet and added some salts from the jar beside the jacuzzi. When the water was the right temperature, I lowered myself in with a sigh.
The door swung open and Pierce came in. He was naked. God, he was so freaking beautiful and his dick, his dick!, was enormous…thick and long. My heart almost beat out of my chest.
He caught me staring, and his expression turned serious, his hot gaze burning into me.
I willed him not to say anything. I wasn’t ready to analyze my fear, and I huffed out a breath in relief as he stepped into the jacuzzi without a word.
He settled behind me and stretched out his legs, leaning me back against his chest and lifting my braid so that he could kiss the nape of my neck. “This is nice, innit?”
“Sure is…”
He splayed his hands over my shoulders and breasts. His fingers crept down, but he avoided my pussy. Instead, he flicked a switch and jets sprayed onto us from the sides of the enormous bath, pummeling our muscles and relaxing us.
I closed my eyes and gave myself over to the water massage, but soon I felt his hardness against my butt cheeks so I inched myself forward, turned and sat opposite him.
After we’d washed ourselves, I got out of the water and grabbed a towel. Then I slipped on one of the cotton bath robes provided by the hotel. Pierce did likewise, and we returned to the living area of our suite.
He picked up a menu folder from the coffee table. “We can order room service from the celebrity chef restaurant.” He passed the folder over to me. “Choose whatever you like.”
Later, after I’d eaten the lobster salad and Pierce the beef steak we’d ordered, washed down with chilled sparkling water, we sat together on the sofa. Sudden pain throbbed behind my eyes, and I rubbed at my forehead.
“What’s wrong?” He lifted my chin.
“Headache,” I groaned.
“Lean against me, sweetheart. I’ll give you a massage.”
He started working his fingers through my hair, untangling the braids. When his hands reached the back of my neck, the tight band around my temples eased, and the gentle pressure from him combing my tresses alleviated the pain.
“I love your hair,” he said, massaging my scalp.
“I never have time to get it cut. As a stylist I really should have my hair styled.”
“Don’t do that. It’s perfect like it is.
He carried on soothing me and I relaxed against him. The tension within me dissipated and I became like a rag doll in his arms.
“I’d like to go to bed.” I turned and looked him in the eye.
“Me too,” he smirked. “But not to sleep…”
I just had to swat him in the chest…it was my MO. But, at the same time, my breath burst in and out as trepidation took hold of me.
The super king size bed almost swallowed us up it was so big. I lay back on the pillows, and Pierce crawled between my legs.
He untied my robe and kissed me without stopping, running his hands down my body, pressing his fingers along the tops of my shoulders, tracing them down to my hips.
I clung to him, and my pebbled nipples pressed into his hard chest. “Mmm,” I moaned into his mouth.
He curled his hands over my ass cheeks and squeezed them like he did the other night. One hand trailed down to my pussy, and I let out a gasp and squirmed. He circled my clit with his thumb. “You’re doing great, Hayley.”
I caught my lip with my teeth and gazed at him, at his indigo blue irises. He tore his gaze away from me and kissed down to my breasts, taking my nipple into his mouth. I snaked my fingers into his wavy hair, and my wetness trickled out of me as he moved from one nipple to the other and back again.
He trailed kisses down my stomach, and my pulse picked up. He placed his head between my legs, and I sucked in a breath. He licked my lower lips, and I clenched.
“Relax, baby. I won’t hurt you…”
I stared down at him and he stared up at me. He kept on staring while his tongue swirled outside my entrance. I squeezed my eyes shut, praying he wouldn’t try and penetrate me.
He reached up and kneaded my right breast, his thumbs rubbing my nipple. “Pull my hair, love. It will help you keep calm.”
I gripped him with my fingers, and trembled against his face as he tongued me, the heat from his breath making me writhe on the sheets.
“You’re so beautiful,” he said, stopping momentarily to grab my ass and hoist me up. He pulled me onto him and his mouth clamped down on my clit.
“Ahh!!!” A ball of fire spread from the base of my spine to my core. “Pierce,” I moaned, pulling at his tresses. Waves of ecstasy. Coming and coming. He carried on sucking me, his nose pressed against my pelvis. “That was…” I couldn’t find the right words.
“I know,” he gave a cocky smirk, shifting his body up the bed to put his arms around me.
He smelled of sex. He smelled of me. He even tasted of me when he kissed me.
I could feel his hard-on against my belly, and my heart missed a beat.
Could I do this? I HAD to do this… I LOVED him.
I moved my hand down.r />
But a sour taste filled my mouth, and my stomach heaved.
He held me tight. “It’s okay, love. I don’t need you to touch me.” He blew out a breath. “I can take care of myself…”
“I didn’t want that.” My voice shook. “I wanted to do it to you.” I paused. “But I couldn’t.”
“How about you look at me instead?”
I squished my brows together. “Maybe…”
He untied his robe and I forced my gaze onto him.
Sweet baby Jesus!
He was terrifying…purplish, veined and freaking huge.
“Watch me. Watch me get myself off. There’s nothing scary about it.”
Without waiting for my response, he started stroking himself. Part of me was revolted, but I felt a certain fascination watching him. Liquid seeped from his tip, and he seemed to grow bigger by the second. He began to drag his fist up and down, jerking his dick almost violently.
“Is what I’m doing okay?” he had the consideration to ask. “I can go to the bathroom if you’d prefer.”
My heart melted for him. He was aroused because of me. I didn’t want to be a cock tease. I wanted to love him in every sense of the word.
Tentatively, I reached out. My breath stuttering, I placed my hand over his. Our eyes met and a slow smile spread across his handsome face.
“Squeeze,” he rasped. “Squeeze my hand.”
It wasn’t as if I was actually touching his dick, I told myself, so I did as he asked.
He climaxed with a shudder. Thick, creamy whiteness spilt between our fingers. It felt sticky, but not unpleasant. He grabbed a tissue from the box on the nightstand and wiped us both clean.
“Look at my cock now, Hayley. It’s at half-mast already. Not so big anymore.”
I stole a quick glance, then looked away. “Yeah…”
He pulled me into his arms, tucking me under his chin and kissing the top of my head. “I’m so fucking proud of you, love. You took a big step tonight.”
“I’m proud of you too,” I spoke into his chest. “Proud of how you’ve managed to stop drinking. You didn’t even check out the mini bar.”
“Ha,” he laughed. “I didn’t need to. Jake would have given instructions for it to have been cleared before we arrived.”
“You think so?”
“I know so,” he laughed again, then his tone turned serious. “I told you I don’t need to drink when I’m with you.” He laced his fingers through mine. “I’m addicted to you, Hayley Wilson.”
“I’m addicted to you too, Pierce Fox,” I breathed.
“That’s good. I mean that we’re addicted to each other.” He stroked his hand down my back.
“I’m kinda worried about that interview tomorrow morning. That we’ll have to act like we’re a couple.”
He leaned away from me. Held me in his gaze. “As far as I’m concerned, we are a couple. I wanna be your real boyfriend, sweetheart. I hope that you want that too.”
I stared at him. Was he messing with me? No. His expression was deadly serious. “How can you want me? I can’t have proper sex with you.”
He shook his head. “There was a bloke I knew once. A teacher. He used to tell me all the time, ‘there’s no such word as can’t’. He persuaded me not to give up my studies. It was thanks to him that I got into university.”
“He sounds awesome, but I think my situation and your studies are a tad different,” I had to interject.
Pierce trailed his hand through my hair. “The principle is the same. When you want something badly enough, you’ll do everything you can to achieve it. Not saying it’ll be easy, but you gotta try…”
“What if I can never have proper sex with you?” I gave voice to my concern. “Will you still be addicted to me then?”
“I’ll always be addicted to you.” He pulled me in for a kiss. “Now let’s get some shuteye.”
His breathing slowed and soon he was snoring softly. I lay awake for what seemed like hours. He’d said he was addicted to me, not that he loved me. Of course he didn’t love me. He only wanted to fix me and he’d leave me when he found out I was totally unfixable.
Chapter 18
Pierce
Axel was bouncing from foot to foot, running up and down the catwalk and leaping into the air, doing his ‘thing’ in Perth, Western Australia’s Optus Stadium while we rocked London Lovers. I slammed my sticks down on the skins as the pyrotechnics to the right of me exploded. It was our last concert in Australia, three weeks since we’d left LA, and we were killing it.
The audience were going wild… and lost their shit even more when Axel told them to light up their phones and wave them. We launched into our big hit, ‘Harbor in the Storm.’ Hayley was out there in the crowd—she watched all our gigs—and I pictured her when we fell silent and the fans carried on singing the lyrics. She’d be singing with them…she knew the words to all our songs.
I closed my eyes briefly, zoning out from what was going down around me. Tonight, she and I would leave the after-show party early. She’d been making great progress in the sex department from the time we’d started touring. Last night, when I’d tongued her, I’d encountered the usual resistance, though. Her vaginal muscle was clamped tight shut like a fist. I’d soothed her, and, for the first time, had parted her folds and examined her entrance. I’d jerked my head back in shock… there was barely a pinhole opening, although she was wet for me. She’d closed her thighs and retreated up the bed, sobbing how sorry she was for not being able to provide me with what she thought I needed.
No other woman had ever made me feel the tug, the draw, the intimate sense of completeness I felt with her, and I’d told her so. I’d swallowed the pain I carried for her and kissed her until she’d relaxed enough to touch me and give me a hand job. I’d praised her to the moon and back, then held her, stroking her beautiful silky hair, and breathing her in until we’d both fallen asleep.
This afternoon, after our sound check, I’d gone online again and done some more research into Hayley’s condition. Her pelvic tightness was completely involuntary and might have stemmed from emotional trauma. My gut feeling, provoked by her fear of my penis, was that she’s suffered some kind of abuse. Whatever it was, she kept it secret from me. I wouldn’t press her about it. Not yet. She’d open up to me in her own good time, just like she was opening up to me physically.
Rhys’ guitar started to wail, jolting me back into the present. I took a moment to appreciate his genius, his control of the knife-edge feedback crescendo and the crunching chords. He was the fucking shit. Zach and I came in, adding the rhythm with our instruments while we sang the backup harmonies to Axel’s vocals. He got to his knees with his back to the crowd, looking up at the giant video screen featuring a loved-up couple strolling across the sands of a beach. Phoenix had been his muse when he’d written this song. I thought about the song I was writing that had been inspired by Hayley. I longed to play it to her, but it was still too raw for her to hear.
The concert sped by. The audience responded brilliantly, chanting our choruses. The guys and I were on fire. I put everything into my drumming…my entire body pulsed. I wanted to make Hayley proud, and I glanced down at my drum set, my chest aching. The only person I’d wanted to make proud before her had been Mr. Phillips.
Confetti canons let rip as we played the final encore, shooting billions of tiny golden stars into the mosh pit and stands. We bowed, turned, and belted off the stage, through to the area where the sports teams usually gathered. Hayley was waiting for me. Smiling, I grabbed her hand and, shielded by Joe, we ran to our car.
A couple hours later, she was in my arms, dancing at the after-show party. “You smell gorgeous,” I nuzzled her neck and slid my hands down her back to hold her close. Her softness rubbed me right where I was hard, but she didn’t pull away.
She gave a deep throaty giggle that made me even harder. “You smell like a dirty rocker.”
“You know you can’t resist me,” I quippe
d, lifting her up and whirling her in the air.
“Put me down, buddy,” she laughed. “You’re making me dizzy.”
I placed her back on the floor. “Everyone’s getting wasted.” I stared across the ballroom of our swanky five-star hotel, packed with guests. Axel and Phoenix were the only ones not drinking, besides Hayley and me.
Don’t go there. Don’t think about the smooth vanilla and caramel taste of Bourbon slipping down the back of your throat. Don’t think about how it would numb the agony in your soul.
Hayley placed her hand on my arm. “You’re doing great, Pierce.”
I looked her in the eye. “How many times do I have to tell you I don’t need alcohol when I’m with you?” I clenched my jaw and took her hand. “C’mon. Let’s get outta here. We’ve done our duty. Given interviews. Posed for pictures. We haven’t been alone together all day.”
Our suite’s flashy gold color scheme and excess bling were a tad over the top, but the view across Perth’s Swan River was stunning. We left the party and headed up there.
“Let’s take a shower,” I suggested as we unlocked the door.
Hayley lingered while she removed her makeup in front of the bathroom mirror. I stepped into the massive cubicle and turned on the tap. Warm water rained down on me with a hiss, pounding my tired muscles.
“Honey?” I loved it when she called me that. “Can I come in?”
“Is the Pope a Catholic? Of course you can…”
She swung the shower door open and came inside.
Without hesitation, I placed my hand on her nape and crushed my mouth to hers.
She flicked her tongue and I captured it with mine.
